A wonderful woman passed on
November 8th, 2011.
She
was Dr. DeeWaundee Champion Green.
"Dee" was 73 years young;
A "bigger than Life" personalilty.
A guest said,
"She entered the room 10 minutes before she got there."
Dee cared deeply and passionately for the students
of the Kent School
District.
All the
children were HERS!
Her
generosity and love
will
be missed by literally thousands.
The joy and enthusiasm that Dee gave,
was above and beyond the calling of educators.
Read, Read, Read.....was her mantra.
A happy, content person;
Dee loved to encourage, counsel and help others.
The guidance, protection and direction
of her family
were
a profound source of Dee's pride.
When I was personally in her company,
I felt valued;
That was the legacy of her kindness and love.
Dee was the reading specialist
at Pine Tree Elementary School.
She honored those halls for 31 years;
worked for the district for 51 years.
She has the LONGEST tenure
as an educator in the Kent School District.
Dr. Green...YOU will and ARE missed by many;
treasured for the
memories you gave.
